JEMA 2026: Showcases of craftsmanship and exhibitions at Villa Savoye (78)

Every spring, many monuments, museums and artists' studios open their doors to the curious, for a special event. The Journées Européennes des Métiers d'Art is a cultural event highlighting the professions and skills involved in preserving our heritage. Furniture, buildings and gardens, works of art, jewelry and fabrics, special objects: these crafts keep France's historic treasures alive.

When we think of heritage, it's easy to imagine castles, religious sites, relics of ancient times... But heritage also includes more recent buildings and creations, such as the Villa Savoye in the Yvelines region of France.

This creation by the brilliant architect Le Corbusier was built in the 1930s, and is still a much-loved architectural curiosity today.

On Saturday, April 11, 2026, the Villa Savoye will join the Design and Craftsmanship Days to highlight its rich history and unique features. As part of the event, the site offers a special experience that immerses visitors in its creative world. Advance booking is recommended to ensure access to this architectural icon.

What's in store for the 2026 Heritage Days at the Villa Savoye:

• European Days of Craftsmanship 2026
  Celebrating vocational training in the arts at the Villa Savoye.
  In partnership with the Adrienne Bolland High School in Poissy, the Villa Savoye offers the public a unique chance to explore top-tier craftsmanship programs within the Yvelines department. Visitors can observe live demonstrations of skills and view exhibitions showcasing students’ work, highlighting the expertise they've developed throughout their training. Come and discover the art of cabinetmaking and tapestry, and feel free to ask the students all your questions!
  Saturday, April 11, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
