On the plate, the homemade pâté en croûte kicks off the festivities with panache. This little gem hides a tender mixture of duck and foie gras, enhanced by the crunch of green pistachios, all wrapped in a perfectly golden butter pastry. A generous starter that honors French tradition with a savoir-faire that can only be applauded.

The pan-fried scallops then take over with brio. Placed on crispy Maxim's-style potatoes, they are enhanced by a black truffle that adds that little something magical, that festive touch we all look forward to at this time of year. The salted butter in which they are seared adds a richness that hits the spot every time. And the little extra that makes all the difference? Each plate is accompanied by a coffee chosen from the restaurant's exceptional collection, creating unexpected coffee-food pairings.

The signature dessert is worth lingering over: the Bacha Coffee Christmas logfeatures velvety milk chocolate paired with roasted hazelnuts. Its crunchy base breaks up the sweetness, creating a play of textures that makes every bite interesting. The pairing with Happy Gianduja coffee? A real success, sweet and comforting like a winter hug. A gourmet finish that beautifully prolongs the experience.

The setting at Bacha Coffee transports you to another world with its Moroccan geometric patterns, black and white checkered floors, and warm red ochre palette. It exudes the same refined style that has characterized the brand since its founding in Marrakech in 1910. The five cozy lounges spread across the floors offer the intimacy you need to celebrate the holidays without being stuck next to your table neighbor. The service, in the pure tradition of Moroccan hospitality, is attentive without being intrusive.

We really appreciate the desire to create pairings between specialty coffees and the dishes on offer. This is what sets this place apart from classic Parisian tea rooms. Here, coffee is not relegated to the status of a simple accompaniment, but becomes a real part of the gastronomic experience. The 200 100% Arabica varieties from 35 countries allow you to travel from Yemen to Hawaii via Ethiopia without leaving your seat.

Let's be honest, we love this magical setting that takes us completely away from the hustle and bustle of the Champs-Élysées as soon as we walk through the door. The tasteful decor and atmosphere create the escape we all need during this busy pre-holiday period. The tasting menu pays homage to France with its fine ingredients and meticulous execution. Scallops, foie gras, and black truffles make up a well-executed festive menu that delivers on its promise.

Now, let's admit it, we do regret the absence of Moroccan influences on this menu, even though the setting transports us straight to Marrakech. With a decor so marked by the identity of Dar el Bacha, we would have loved to see a few oriental culinary touches, even if only a spice here and a condiment there, to create a bridge between the plate and the place. The menu remains very classically French, which does not detract from its quality, mind you, but it does create a slight disconnect with such an exotic environment.

Prices are on the high side for the neighborhood, but this is consistent with the restaurant's luxurious positioning and the quality of the products on offer. The good news? You can book by phone, which makes it much easier to organize during this period when the best restaurants are fully booked weeks in advance. To prolong the experience, the shop on the ground floor offers gift boxes of coffee and a range of refined accessories that make great gift ideas.

This festive menu is clearly aimed at gourmets looking for a refined experience in an exceptional setting, coffee lovers curious to discover original food and coffee pairings, and those who want to impress their guests with a memorable Christmas or New Year's Eve meal. However, if you're looking for a friendly atmosphere, lower prices, or cuisine that really plays the Moroccan card, this address may not be your cup of tea, or rather coffee. People come here mainly for the spectacular setting, the impeccable quality of the products, and the unique atmosphere that makes Bacha Coffee a truly special place on the Champs-Élysées.

The lounge is open every day from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. with continuous service, so you won't be stuck with overly strict hours. We go there for the unique atmosphere, exceptional coffees, and masterful festive cuisine that pays homage to the finest seasonal ingredients. The address is 26 Avenue des Champs-Élysées in the 8th arrondissement, accessible via the George V or Franklin D. Roosevelt metro stations. Enjoy the festive menu, friends!
