Danish Christmas at the Maison du Danemark: a cultural journey for the holidays on the Champs-Elysées

TheChristmas seasonis always magical for young and old alike: shops and streets sparkle with a thousand lights, decorated Christmas trees can be admired everywhere, and delicious food is enjoyed... And when you're in Paris, the magic is even stronger, thanks to the many events organized throughout the holiday season! But Paris and France don't have a monopoly on Christmas cheer, and the House of Denmark is here to remind us of that!

The cultural institution invites us to experience a Danish Christmas from December 5 to 23, 2025. The House is transformed and decked out in Christmas colors throughout December to welcome visitors of all ages... Not to mention Santa Claus.

Danish craftsmen and designers, culinary specialities, music, tales and legends, creative workshops for children: the Maison du Danemark takes us on a journey with a festive and enchanting program that celebrates the country's traditions, as well as its contemporary culture.

La Maison du Danemark invites you to its Champs-Elysées location, where a decorated trail has been created based on two well-known tales written byHans Christian Andersen,The Snow Queen and Elverhøj. Here's what's in store for you this Christmas.

The events that bring a Danish Christmas to life:

• 
  Christmas food stand On the Champs-Elysées side, a Christmas stand offers tastings of the famous Danish gløgg (spiced mulled wine) accompanied by æbleskiver, small traditional treats served during Advent.
  
  
• Christmas shopping
  A design & lifestyle space on the 2nd floor.
  Inside, the journey continues on the 2nd floor, which has been transformed into a cozy pop-up space for the occasion. A dozen Danish brands are presenting their worlds: design, lifestyle and tableware, decoration, fashion, gastronomy... This inspirational space offers an iconic selection of Danish design and lifestyle products. Traditional children's toys are also available.
  
  
• 
  Christmas workshops Family event
  For the most curious and families, creative Christmas workshops are offered on the 7th floor, with an extraordinary view of Paris (open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.): 
  • Christmas tree decorations and paper heart crafts
    (Registration required - €5 per child and €10 per adult. The price includes one hour's access to the workshop - places are limited to 15 people per workshop) 
  • A space dedicated to listening to the famous tales of H.C. Andersen 
  • Lego corner 
  • Treasure hunt 
  • Photo with Santa Claus
    
    
• Fairytale garden
  In the garden of the Danish House, an installation inspired by the famous Tivoli illuminations will transform the outdoor space into a true winter wonderland. At the back of the garden, visitors can discover a forest of Christmas trees decorated by different Danish companies, each reflecting their own universe, aesthetic, and Christmas spirit.
  A perfect source of inspiration for creative ideas, Instagram-worthy moments, and even a participatory game to discover on site!
  And when the weather permits, visitors can also enjoy a glass of gløgg, traditional Danish mulled wine, served in the enchanting setting of our illuminated garden.
