Want to discover a Christmas show in a magical setting? For the holiday season, you can once again dive into the baroque atmosphere of the Château de Versailles, with an exceptional tour-and-show experience: The King’s Route to explore between 12 December 2026 and 2 January 2027.
And yes, the spirit of Christmas and the magic of the holiday season are once again taking hold of the residence of the Sun King. This route, brought to life by musicians, dancers, singers, fencers and actors, invites us on an epic journey that threads through the palace from the Salon d’Hercule to the Queen’s Chamber, passing by the Galerie des Glaces, which would then be “illuminated by royal fireworks”, and the Grand Apartments. The show continues all the way to the Galerie des Batailles, where we’ll meet a Baroque Father Christmas. The 2026 opus is titled Marie-Antoinette, Queen of Fashion: the sovereign is at the heart of this baroque touring spectacular.
The guided visit lasts 1h10. The announced departures are at 6:00 PM, 6:25 PM, 6:50 PM, 7:15 PM, 7:40 PM and 8:05 PM, on dates offered by the official ticket office. Access is free for children aged 0 to 3 inclusive, with no ticket required; an identity document may be requested.
