For Christmas 2026, the Royal Chapel at the Palace of Versailles presents four sacred-music programs spread over five December dates. The concerts take place in the chapel, separate from the Opera Royal hall.
On December 5 at 7:00 PM, La Chapelle Harmonique, conducted by Valentin Tournet, pairs Charpentier's Messe de Minuit with Bach's Magnificat. The concert lasts 1 hour 5 minutes with no intermission. Full-price tickets range from €34 to €147, depending on seating category.
December 11 at 8 p.m., Bach's Christmas Oratorio is performed by Cappella Mediterranea and the Nederlands Kamerkoor, conducted by Leonardo García-Alarcón. The evening lasts three hours, intermission included, with full-price tickets ranging from €53 to €166.
On December 12 and 13, Handel’s Messiah brings together the Choir and Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, conducted by Théotime Langlois de Swarte. The concert will be performed in English with French surtitles and lasts three hours, intermission included. Full-price tickets range from €59 to €178, and the time must be selected on the ticketing page for each date.
On December 19 at 7:00 p.m., Chloé de Guillebon will conduct the Choir and Orchestra of the Royal Opera in a program featuring Vivaldi's Gloria, Handel's Dixit Dominus, and Bach's motet Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied. The concert is expected to last two hours, intermission included.
