Beaugrenelle’s 2026 Christmas tree: the lights switch on today!

The pumpkins have barely been put away, and Beaugrenelle is already bringing out the Christmas baubles! This Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the shopping center in Paris’s 15th arrondissement kicks off its holiday celebrations with a free lighting ceremony, shows and surprises for all ages. This year, a few little trains have even found their way into the decorations!

After its Mauboussin-designed suspended tree in 2025, Beaugrenelle has teamed up with Rituals for an edition titled The journey begins. Beneath the shopping center’s vast glass roof, an imposing tree covered in red and gold baubles catches the eye, adorned with graphic ornaments and a frieze of little trains that evokes the theme chosen for Christmas 2026. The twinkling lights complete the seasonal decor, visible from the different floors.

And to kick it all off, Beaugrenelle has planned more than just a simple countdown! From 6:30 to 6:50 p.m., on the Terrace, visitors can enjoy a free show combining dance and music, featuring young guitarist Timéo and the Inverdance troupe, both discovered on France’s Got Talent. Twenty minutes of entertainment to officially launch the tree-lighting ceremony!

But the festivities begin well before the big lighting ceremony. From 5 p.m., families can enjoy a range of activities, with a few surprises in store:

• Meet Santa Claus, ready to pose for photos with the children.
• A treasure hunt organized with La Grande Récré, spanning the shopping center’s floors.
• Hundreds of prizes to be won, thanks to a prize booth set up on the first floor.
• Festive face painting and a photo area, so you can take home a few keepsakes.
• A phone to call Santa Claus. The man in red has apparently planned to answer calls before setting off on his big journey!
• A DJ set, to keep the festivities going.

And the shops will be staying open late too, with special opening hours until 9 p.m. A great opportunity to get started on your Christmas shopping while you’re at it!

If you miss the launch, the decorations will remain on display until January 2, 2027. Other activities will take over in the coming weeks, including creative workshops to make train cars on December 5 and 12, gospel choirs, story readings and a nutcracker workshop on December 19. Santa Claus will also be back to meet the children as Christmas Eve approaches.
