What if, this Easter weekend 2026, your family headed to the Abbey of Royaumont? This former Cistercian monastery, located in Asnières-sur-Oise in the Val-d'Oise, is a must-see cultural and historical site in the area. This year, bring the kids along for a visit on April 5 and 6, 2026.

What better way to celebrate this beautiful Easter weekend than by taking advantage of the three-day break to go on an Easter egg hunt with the kids in the Val-d'Oise? That’s exactly what’s on offer at the Abbaye of Royaumont, featuring a huge egg hunt and brunch!

Over these two days, children will have the chance to hunt for hundreds of brightly colored eggs hidden throughout the gardens of Royaumont, nestled among pumpkins and flowers! Afterwards, they'll be able to exchange their finds for chocolates, of course—delighting all the little sweet tooths. The event costs €12 per child aged 7 and over to join the hunt, €8 for kids under 7, and €7.50 for each accompanying adult. And if you happen to discover the golden egg, you'll be rewarded with a special prize!

And to enjoy this indulgent moment, Royaumont Abbey is also offering a Easter brunch on both Sunday and Monday. What's on the menu? Chef Patrick Derisbourg has prepared a all-you-can-eat buffet featuring a breakfast corner, a cold buffet with charcuterie platters, marinated salmon, roasted vegetables à l’italienne, sweet potato and goat cheese focaccia, along with hot dishes like baked eggs with Maroilles cheese, lamb slices with shallot gravy and spring vegetables, regional beans, and a dessert spread including red fruit cheesecake, chocolate mousse, floating islands, strawberry tart, and caramel custard.

For this festive Easter brunch in a stunning setting, the cost is €25 per child under 12 and €69 per adult. Whether you're here for the Easter egg hunt or the brunch itself, reservations are strongly recommended. Plus, enjoying the brunch gives you free access to the monument and its gardens.

Take advantage of your visit to Royaumont to explore the gardens, tour the historic Cistercian abbey... and discover a key piece of French heritage in Val-d'Oise — perfect for a family outing, even with the little ones!
