For Halloween 2025, the medieval town of Provins is offering a number of events for children and families. On the program: treasure hunts, free entertainment and cooking workshops for a chilling atmosphere!

During the All Saints' vacation season, it's hard to miss the holiday to be celebrated on October 31: Halloween. Monsters, pumpkins, witches and ghosts are the order of the day for children and families in the capital, but also in the medieval city of Provins, a town in Seine-et-Marne, less than an hour from Paris, known for its history dating back to the Middle Ages.

In Provins, you can take advantage of the many activities planned for the occasion, including a great treasure hunt to discover the medieval town of Provins while having fun, a cooking workshop on reservation, tales and stories, and a whole host of activities for the whole family.

On the program:

  • Treasure hunt - Saturday, October 25 from 11am - Participation is free and reserved for children accompanied by an adult.

Set off in search of a magic pennant hidden in the medieval town and win a gourmet cauldron filled with treats! It's a delightful stroll that will take you into strange worlds and chilling settings, to the shops and restaurants of Provins! Meet at Place du Châtel: two friendly witches will give you clues... and get you started! And don't hesitate to come in costume to add to the Halloween atmosphere. Limited to one cauldron per family.

  • La Ferme aux Sortilèges - Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26

From 10am to 7pm, come and face your greatest fears at Ferme du Châtel with the Scarecrow Market (craftsmen and producers from the Brie Champenoise region), a face painting workshop for young and old, axe throwing (ages 12 and up), and a decorated pumpkin contest (ages 6 and up). Free admission, some events subject to a fee, no reservation required. Catering on site.

  • Halloween cupcakes - Sunday, October 26 - 2pm, 3pm and 4pm - €10.50 per child

  • Festive and creative afternoon at the Musée de la Vie d'Autrefois - Saturday, November 1, 2pm to 5pm

4 workshops from age 6 upwards to build your own magic kit: create a magic potion, make a talisman pendant, create a magic tarot card and make a magic wand. Prices: €5 per child without Museum visit or €15 per person with Museum visit.
