On the occasion of Heritage Days, the Embassy of Lithuania invites you to tour its spaces by appointment on Saturday, September 20, 2025. A perfect moment to discover one of Paris’s finest private town houses through an unusual cultural encounter.

For the 43rd edition of the Journées du Patrimoine, head to the Lithuanian Embassy, which opens its doors to us on Saturday, September 19, 2026. It's an opportunity to discover the sumptuous townhouse located near Parc Monceau, and to delve into Lithuanian culture, little known in France.

In the 19th century, this private mansion at 22 boulevard de Courcelles was the first Parisian residence of composer Ernest Chausson, his wife and their three children. During this period, the hotel was decorated by painters Maurice Denis and Odilon Redon. His study also featured a large portrait of the Chausson family, painted by his friend Eugène Carrière. The building became an embassy in 1999.

Note: the Embassy of Lithuania is only open on Saturday, September 19. Don’t miss this unique day—mark the date in your calendar! Also keep in mind that this visit is by registration only, and you have until September 18 to book your place.

What’s on the agenda for the 43rd edition of Heritage Days at the Lithuanian Embassy:

  • Mikalojus Povilas Vilutis, master of Lithuanian silkscreen printing – An exclusive exhibition and guided tour at the Lithuanian Embassy

On the occasion of European Heritage Days, the Embassy of Lithuania is opening its doors to present an exhibition devoted to Mikalojus Povilas Vilutis, one of the greatest contemporary Lithuanian graphic artists and a master of screen printing. This show offers the most comprehensive overview of his work ever showcased in France.

Designed by Aldona Vilutytė, actriz and curator, daughter of the artist and expert on his creative universe, it reveals a singular artistic journey marked by bold graphic language, vivid colors, and an imaginative world where humor, poetry, symbols, and reflections on the human condition converge.

The exhibit highlights, in particular, Vilutis’s most recent creations, produced in collaboration with the Lithuanian perfume house Smells Like Spells. For the Incantations collection, his original drawings adorn hand-shaped porcelain objects crafted for artisanal scented candles. Drawn from the incantation traditions of diverse cultures, this collection showcases the richness of his symbolic universe and illustrates the dialogue between graphic art, contemporary design, and traditional crafts.

    AU PROGRAMME :
