If you feel like enjoying something near you or find out more about treasures in Île-de-France, come to Essonne, by Milly-la-Forêt to discover the Maison de Jean Cocteau – a famous French artist, cineaste and writer. This is in this house-museum the playwright wrote most of his art. Listed as Historic Monument in 1969, the Maison du Bailli, in a Louis XIII style, dates back to the 17th century and covers 2 hectares mostly involving gardens, an orchard and a forest.
