Vestiges dating back to prehistoric times, Gallo-Roman monuments, buildings from the Middle Ages or the Renaissance, the castles of kings, buildings in the Empire style, others more modern... France is a patchwork of monuments, each telling its ownstory. In Paris and the Île-de-France region, you can travel from one century to the next thanks to these (very) many heritage sites.
To visit all these fascinating places, there's nothing better than the Journées du Patrimoine, which take place on September 16 and 17, 2023. This annual event allows us to (re)discover historical, artistic and cultural sites, as well as political, popular, unusual and sporting venues... Because, yes, sport is part of our heritage!
The proof: one year ahead of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) are highlighting living heritage and the heritage of sport. It's an opportunity to visit stadiums, gymnasiums... but also to get wet!
This Saturday, September 16, 2023, a unique event awaits you. To combine culture and sport, take part in the Marathon Jeunes, an exceptional race from the Arènes de Lutèce to the Stade de France. Nearly 10 kilometers as the crow flies, and a beautiful course that makes you see Paris differently! Book your race number now.
