At the gateway to the French Vexin, on the banks of the River Oise, lies the town of L'Isle-Adam. This commune of the Val-d'Oise has a rich history: in the heart of a lush natural setting, this small town has long been home to the country's nobles and royalty. Today, l'Isle-Adam attracts the crowds, with its many historic monuments, museums, exceptional buildings, château... And its beach!
In summer, many people from the Ile-de-France region take advantage of this cool setting, which gives us the impression of being on vacation, while remaining close to Paris. Blond sand, pools, diving boards, slides, sports fields: it's the perfect place to have fun as soon as the heat sets in.
It's also a place to visit on September 16 and 17, 2023! For this 40th edition of the Journées du Patrimoine, Isle-Adam beach is joining in the festivities, inviting curious visitors of all ages to take part in a range of activities over the weekend.
The Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days ) are organized every year to enable the general public to discover and visit places linked to the country'shistory, activities, culture and know-how. Castles, churches, museums, fashion houses, gymnasiums, ministries and historic cinemas all open their doors to visitors.
