Journées du Patrimoine 2025: tours of General de Gaulle's office in Paris

In 1984, Jack Lang launched the Journées du Patrimoine, a cultural event enabling the French to (re)discover the country's monuments, places of art, power and creation, in order to highlight the richness of every corner of France. The event has spread to several European countries, and is as popular as ever, even for this 41st edition on September 21 and 22, 2024.

These "Journées du Patrimoine" (Heritage Days) give Parisians and residents of the Ile-de-France region the chance to visit, free of charge, important sites in French history, such as châteaux, ministries, the Eiffel Tower, the Cour des Comptes (French Audit Office)... Or even Charles de Gaulle's office in Paris.

The Charles de Gaulle Foundation, housed in a private mansion on the Faubourg Saint-Germain in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, pays tribute to this great figure. On this weekend of the JEP, the foundation is opening its doors to the public free of charge, allowing us to learn more about the first president of the Fifth Republic, and above all about his post-World War II activities.
