It's one of the most eagerly awaited cultural events of the autumn. The Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) are back all over Europe for the weekend of September 20 and 21, 2025. For the occasion, many museums, monuments and institutions, as well as places usually closed to the public, are waiting to welcome you with a program of visits and events, often free of charge. All of which attracts enthusiasts and the curious alike, eager to take advantage of this cultural bargain. The Journées du Patrimoine are a good opportunity for Paris and the surrounding region to reveal the secrets of its most emblematic monuments and to take you on a voyage of discovery of a lesser-known heritage.
While the capital always knows how to attract attention, the rest of the surroundingÎle-de-France region is not to be outdone. All around the City of Light, the Ile-de-France region abounds in heritage treasures that are well worth a visit. In the Hauts-de-Seine region, the town of Colombes, accessible by public transport, is just one of the communes where you can enjoy a wide range of activities during the Journées du Patrimoine. Archaeology isn't just about digging! Discover the lesser-known but just as important post-excavation stage, with the analysis of the remains discovered. Participants are invited to put themselves in the shoes of numismatists to understand and date archaeological sites. Then, they'll learn how to make these objects by learning how to mint clay coins, which they'll be able to take home with them!

Along the 900 m route, you'll discover how the old railway line, known as "Le Raccordement de Colombes", worked, with signs at key points.
Come and play with your family at the controls of a model train. An exhibition of vintage railway equipment will be on display in the chalet.

Explore the Coulée Verte in search of relics of the past, guided by a photo guide. You'll leave with a book on the history of the Coulée Verte.
The Culture Department staff who helped write the book will be on hand at the stand, along with the Coulée Verte's first animators.
Trains, wasteland, works, ecological management to support environmental education activities... these are just a few of the topics covered by this exhibition. Madame Minvieille, the landscape architect behind the project, will be on hand to answer your questions on Saturday, from 2pm to 5pm, and on Sunday, from 2pm to 3pm and again from 4pm to 6:30pm.

Inaugurated in 1968, the Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul church is the work of architect Jean Hébrard. Taking full advantage of the potential of concrete, the building's plasticity is enhanced by the luminosity of the stained glass windows by artist Louis-René Petit. The Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul church was awarded the "Heritage of Regional Interest" label in 2023.
