Journées du Patrimoine 2025: a weekend of drag and glitter at the Espace Monte-Cristo in Paris

In the 20th arrondissement of Paris, you'll find an artistic venue dedicated to contemporary sculpture. TheEspace Monte-Cristo showcases the collection of the Fondation Villa Datris, and regularly presents surprising and colorful exhibitions. On September 20 and 21, 2025, Espace Monte-Cristo will be taking part in the 42nd Journées du Patrimoine, inviting us to come and discover its treasures.

Not familiar with the Journées du Patrimoine? Here's a little catch-up: this Europe-wide cultural event takes place every year on the third weekend of September. Thousands of historic, artistic and cultural sites all over France open their doors free of charge. Museums, monuments, churches, parks, sports and entertainment venues, places of power, factories, department stores: every city, every region tells its own story through its buildings and relics.

On the program for the Journées du Patrimoine 2025 at Espace Monte-Cristo:

Admission is free all weekend long. You don't need to register to take part in any of the events. However, we want to welcome you as much as possible, so please let us know you're coming.

Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21, 2pm to 6pm
Open to the public, free of charge, no reservation required.

• 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM – Drag Storytime
  A magical hour for audiences of all ages, where a drag performer reads stories that celebrate diversity, spark the imagination, and promote values of tolerance.

• From 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM – Guided Drag Tour
  A vibrant and lively tour that reimagines the exhibition’s artworks through the humorous perspective of a drag performer—a fun, informative experience for all!
• From 2 PM to 6 PM – Glitter Bar
  A cozy, uplifting moment where everyone can get their face painted and add a touch of magic to their day—because sometimes, all you need is to sparkle brightly, together!
