This Saturday, September 20, 2025, the Maison Poincaré is determined to make you love mathematics, thanks to various events organized for the Journées du Patrimoine. We share the program with you.

Opening in September 2023 in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, the Maison Poincaré is dedicated to mathematics, its links with other scientific disciplines, and the influence it has on our society and everyday life. Children and adults alike can rediscover mathematics from a new angle, thanks to a tour and interactive modules. Physics, chemistry, but also philosophy, culture, arts... Mathematics is everywhere!

This Saturday, September 20, 2025, the Maison Poincaré opens its doors to the public free of charge for an exceptional weekend. The Parisian museum is taking part in the 42nd edition of the Journées du Patrimoine, offering special events over the two days.

Every year, the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days ) enchant us with their open doors, workshops, tours and exceptional discoveries, enabling us to appreciate the cultural and historical sites of Paris and theÎle-de-France region. A not-to-be-missed event, which you can experience at the Maison Poincaré on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

On the program for these Heritage Days at the Maison Poincaré:

  • The scientific heritage within the walls of the Maison Poincaré

    A selection of previously unpublished photographs gives a glimpse of the former chemistry-physics laboratory before the renovation of this century-old building and the opening of the Maison Poincaré. A self-guided tour of the museum reveals its heritage spaces, glass roof, garden and terrace. The architectural restructuring preserves the building's historic character and reflects the desire to open the Maison Poincaré, the museum where math comes to life, to all publics.

    Spread over 900 m2 in the heart of Paris, the Maison Poincaré aims to showcase the influence of mathematics on our society and our everyday lives. Visitors can learn about the work of today's researchers and explore the history of mathematics across cultures and the arts. At the Maison Poincaré, everyone is invited to ask questions and share the pleasure of understanding mathematics!
