The event, 100% free of charge, invites the curious to explore castles, monuments and museums, to push open the doors of rarely accessible historic sites and to lose themselves in hidden gardens that are usually kept secret. One of the must-see spots is theItalian Embassy in France, which will be unveiled on Saturday, September 20. Located in theHôtel de Boisgelin (or de La Rochefoucauld-Doudeauville or de Janvry), an elegant mansion in the 7th arrondissement built in 1732 by architect Jean-Sylvain Cartaud, this jewel of Parisian heritage has survived the centuries and belonged to such great figures as Cardinal de Boisgelin and the Duc de Doudeauville. Transformed in the late 19th century, it features a polychrome marble staircase inspired by Versailles, a winter garden, a chapel and woodwork from the Château de Bercy.

Since 1938, the hotel has been home to theItalian Embassy, in return for the French Embassy's use of the Farnese Palace in Rome. On this exclusive tour, you'll discover a sumptuous blend of Italian art and French heritage, with some areas listed as Monuments Historiques.
