The Postal Museum unveils a family-friendly program for the 2026 Heritage Days.

The Postal Museum, perhaps better known by its former name, the Museum of the Post, is offering family-friendly activities for Heritage Days 2026 on the weekend of September 19 and 20, 2026.

Want to dive into Paris's little-known and quirky history? Then head to the Postal Museum (formerly the Museum of the Post) which is opening its doors to the public free of charge on the occasion of the Heritage Days 43rd edition.

Located just steps from Montparnasse Station since 1973, the Postal Museum is one of the capital’s most original museums. Labeled a Musée de France, the institution, as you might expect, focuses on the history of the Post! Through its permanent collections and its temporary exhibitions, visitors with a curious mind discover the historic, artistic, philatelic and scientific heritage of the French postal service.

Getting Started with Linocut Printing
Experiment with the printmaking technique, using a stamp as your starting point. Participants pick a motif from a selection of images and carve it onto a linocut block before printing their creation with a press.
Participation requirements: Limited to 15 people. Booking is recommended. Registrations will open at a later date. — Free

Wood-engraving demonstration
