All hands on deck for the Journées du Patrimoine! The Musée National de la Marine, located at the Trocadéro in Paris, is opening its doors free of charge on September 20 and 21, 2025.

The Musée National de la Marine takes us on a voyage to the seven seas of the world, with its exceptional collections of statues, paintings, models, photographs, outfits and navigation equipment. The museum recounts the history and importance of the navy to France, in a thematic tour.

This museum, next door to musée de l'Homme, is located on the Place du Trocadéro in Paris. It will be opening its doors free of charge on September 20 and 21, 2025, for the 42nd Journées du Patrimoine. Throughout the weekend, visitors young and old can take part in special events and tours.

Every year, the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) give us the opportunity to explore new cultural and historical sites in Paris and the Île-de-France region. Museums, castles, places of worship, gardens, department stores, backstage public transport systems, ministries and parliaments, historic monuments and artisan workshops all play their part, to the delight of the curious and the passionate.
