Join us on Saturday September 20 and Sunday September 21, 2025 for a series of visits to discover the museum's collections.

From the Middle Ages to the present day, through the Renaissance, the French Revolution, the Empire, the wars, the Republics... Each moment in history is illustrated and explained in this museum. The capital is at the heart of these collections: you'll find it in the paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, furniture, precious and antique objects and thousands of historical items on display in this magnificent museum.

The Musée Carnavalet is the most Parisian of the capital's museums. Its vocation is to present the history of Paris, from prehistory to the present day, in all its diverse aspects. Historical in essence, the Musée Carnavalet is nonetheless an art museum, presenting mainly original works that reflect the very essence of Paris.
