The Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days ) take place every year on the third weekend in September. For two days, numerous cultural, artistic, historical and unusual sites open their doors to the public, to showcase their history and special features. The Domaine de Chamarande, in theEssonne region of France, is taking part in this major cultural event!
On September 16 and 17, 2023, the Château de Chamarande and its grounds will be open to the public. This magnificent 98-hectare estate, accessible from Paris by RER C train, has a rich history dating back to Gallo-Roman times! The estate is home to a park that has been awarded the " jardin remarquable" label, a contemporary art center, the Essonne departmental archives and an accommodation center for schoolchildren.
It's a great idea, just the way we like it! It's an opportunity to discover a place rich in culture, while taking advantage of what we hope will be clement weather and family activities organized over the two days. To find out more about the activities on offer, see the program below.
