TheAbbaye de Maubuisson, in Saint-Ouen-L'Aumône, Val-D'Oise (95), welcomes you for a day of discovery and walks, on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September 2025. Take advantage of the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) to visit this former royal Cistercian abbey founded in 1234.

[midroll]

A former Cistercian women's abbey (Notre-Dame-La Royale) founded by Blanche de Castille in the 13th century, today we find the barn and part of the carré claustral, i.e. the chapter house, parlour, nuns' room and latrines. The abbey's vaulted rooms are adorned with magnificent stained-glass windows and green and yellow glazed terracotta.

Next to the abbey, the 10-hectare park offers visitors archaeological remains and ancient hydraulic structures. Since 2001, this building has been dedicated to the plastic and visual arts, offering installations in keeping with the architecture of the site and its heritage. A beautiful place to discover, or rediscover, on the occasion of this 42nd edition of the Journées du Patrimoine. Let's make a note of it in our diaries, folks?

"Méta Hip-Hop" is a vertiginous game between real and virtual dancers, between sound and moving images. Totally innovative and deeply moving, the project relies on two pioneering artists in their field. Hamid Ben Mahi, who belongs to the first generation of hip-hop dancers in France, and Serge de Laubier, one of the founders of visual music. "Méta Hip-Hop" uses dedicated software developed by PUCE MUSE and invites the audience to invent the opening of the show. This performance is a battle between Hamid Ben Mahi and virtual dancers manipulated live by Serge de Laubier with his Méta-Instrument.

On Sunday September 21, dancer Hamid Ben Mahi will perform with the virtual dancers. Hamid Ben Mahi is a pioneer of hip-hop dance in France. Choreographer and dancer, he founded the HORS SÉRIE company. His research into hip-hop dance pushes back the boundaries of this dance form, creation after creation. Serge de Laubier is a composer, researcher and musician. He has dual training as a composer and sound engineer. PUCE MUSE, a pioneering structure in digital arts research, has been developing visual music devices since 1982, focusing on three areas: research, creation and transmission.
