The 2026 tax return has been open for a few weeks now! In the Paris region, online filers have until June 4 to submit it, but many French people and Parisians are finding it hard to complete their income tax return, depending on their professional and personal circumstances. It’s fair to say it isn’t always straightforward, and if you’re in that situation, don’t panic!
The City of Paris and the tax-law specialists from the Paris Bar will be at your service free of charge on May 7, 2026, to help you tackle this annual administrative chore. From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., lawyer consultations are offered to provide personalized, confidential, and anonymous assistance. Open to all Parisians at the arrondissements’ town halls across the capital, these sessions are part of an effort to improve access to justice.
To take advantage of this, head to your borough hall, where you will be assisted at the House of Community Life and Citizenship. Remember to bring with you your 2025 income tax return and any documents that may be required. You can also get help from the tax authorities, by phone at 0 809 401 401, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
