The Établissement français du sang (EFS) still needs your blood donations, and is launching blood drives across the capital, at the Parc des Princes, the Musée d'Orsay and the Château de Versailles in June.

If an attack or event of this magnitude were to occur in France, the blood reserves of theÉtablissement Français du Sang (EFS) would not be sufficient. With the arrival of summer and the regular occurrence of injuries, the EFS is concerned and invites the French population to give blood at one of the blood drives nearest to them. To give blood, you need to be between 18 and 70 years old, weigh more than 50kg, and be in good health.

Donors are offered a snack on site, after the seven- to ten-minute procedure. Allow around an hour for the entire donation. On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, celebrated on June 14, the EFS is looking forward to many acts of good citizenship that will help save lives. The need for blood products is constant, and donations must be regular and continuous, since blood products have a limited lifespan: 7 days for platelets and 42 days for red blood cells.

Three fundraising events await you in June, in beautiful monuments such as the Parc des Princes, the Musée d'Orsay and the Château de Versailles, but many donation centers and hospitals welcome you all year round.
