Pink October 2026: breast cancer screening and awareness centers in Paris

During this Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the City of Paris and Health Insurance are joining forces to help all women stay healthy. From October 1 to 31, 2026, in celebration of Pink October, numerous screening and information centers will open their doors across Paris.

Prevention, awareness, support: Breast Cancer Awareness Month could be summed up in these three words. The month of fighting breast cancer kicks off this October 1, 2026, with a slate of events and activities that invite everyone who may be affected by the disease to talk about it.

Each year, breast cancer adds about 60,000 new cases to the toll: roughly one in eight women will be affected by this disease at least once in her lifetime. To combat it, women aged 50 to 74 are encouraged to be screened regularly, through national campaigns funded by the national health insurance system. These preventive measures save lives each year, since cancers detected early have nearly a 90% chance of being cured within five years.

As you may have guessed, regular screening is essential. That’s why the City of Paris, in partnership with several health centers,  has decided to open a number of screening and awareness centers in Paris from October 1 to October 31, 2026. These centers welcome residents of the Île-de-France region of all ages who want to learn more about this disease or get screened. Discover the ones near you.

Screening centers open this Pink October in Paris:
