This work will have an impact on the daily life of passengers. For nine months, traffic on line 11 will be disrupted. In detail, train traffic will be interrupted three nights a week from December 20, 2022 to September 28, 2023. In concrete terms, the line will be completely closed on evenings from 10 pm onwards, from Tuesday to Thursday inclusive.

" The closures will allow for the testing of the new MP14 trains on the existing line in preparation for the extension," explains RATP on its official website.

Also, passengers are invited to use the metro, bus, RER and tramway lines in connection, such as the RER A, lines 1, 3 and 4 of the metro, as well as buses N°75, 20 and 96.

As a reminder, line 11 of the Paris metro runs between Châtelet and Mairie des Lilas stations. With only 6.3 kilometers in length, it is the shortest main line in the Paris network.
