At home, the situation is dire: your pet, whether a dog, a cat, a rabbit, or a rodent—commonly classified under NACS, the new companion animals (ndlr),—is showing signs of weakness, illness, or injury. No time to waste: first contact your treating veterinarian to confirm they have any urgent slots available. If no option is available, a free national number, 3115, is dedicated to veterinary emergencies in France.
In addition to this free national number, a platform, VetoAdom, provides 24/7 coverage across all departments of Île-de-France. To book an appointment, the call center will request all your contact details and information about your injured pet... A veterinarian will then come to your home in an emergency. Note that this can still take several hours depending on the number of emergencies to attend to!
As this is a guard-duty, at-home visit, the rates are higher; all details about the price of this emergency visit to your home are listed on the Veto Adom website. The platform’s call center will notify you by phone of the consultation fee. Depending on your animal’s condition and the vet’s report, hospitalization may be required.
