10 years is something to celebrate! And that's exactly what the City of Paris plans to do! On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of marriage for all, the capital is organizing a big Love Ball on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. This festive, musical, free and open to all event will take place on the square in front of the Hôtel de Ville from 6pm onwards. It will be an opportunity for Parisians to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the law opening marriage to same-sex couples in France, which was adopted on May 17, 2013.
Proposed in collaboration with " A la folie ", the famous night spot and residents at Rosa Bonheur located in the 19th arrondissement, this celebration is aimed at " all Parisians, LGBTQI+ communities and their allies, married people, families, young people, seniors sharing the desire for an evening together " to celebrate the 10 years of marriage for all, says the City of Paris in a statement published on May 10.
Imagined as a popular ball open to everyone, " around the great values of equality, inclusion and love ", this great ball will offer a series of animations with dj sets, a performance celebrating the heritage of the LGBTQI+ movements through the years, or an unusual bouquet throwing!
