As of this Wednesday, May 17, 2023, the Ascension Bridge promises heavy traffic on the roads of Île-de-France. Bison Futé gives us its precious forecasts and traffic advices.

Ascension Day is coming and with it, the promise of 4 days of respite. Bison Futé anticipates heavy traffic from Wednesday, May 17, 2023 in Île-de-France. A long weekend which, unfortunately, rhymes with traffic jams. For a travel experience with as little stress as possible, we advise you to know the Bison Futé forecast and plan your trips accordingly.

Starting Wednesday, Bison Futé recommends leaving or crossing the Île-de-France region before noon. There are areas classified in red, synonymous with heavy traffic:

  • On the A11 between Paris and Angers, from 4pm to 8pm.
  • On the A10 towards Spain via Bordeaux, from 2pm to 10pm.
  • On the A10 near Orléans, from 5 pm to 8 pm.

On Thursday,Ascension Day, it is advised to take the road before 7 am. Bison Futé forecasts heavy traffic on theA10 at the Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines toll booth until 2 pm.

However, it is Sunday that looks the most critical. Classified black by Bison Futé, this day "should be the busiest day of the year", according to the organization. It is therefore strongly recommended to postpone, if possible, its return to avoid the road that day.
