Roland-Garros 2023: traffic and parking bans during the tournament

On Monday, May 22, 2023, a new edition of Roland-Garros will begin in Paris. For this occasion, the police prefecture has set up a traffic and parking system in the 16th district of the capital. Discover it in detail!

Roland-Garros, it's soon back! As of May 22, 2023, the first qualifying rounds of the clay court tournament will begin at the Porte d'Auteuil. For this occasion, the police prefecture has set up a traffic and parking system, in force until June 15, 2023 in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, to secure the perimeter.

"Considering that these championships attract a very large number of spectators, and that it is therefore necessary to take measures to ensure good order and the safety of people and property during the event, as well as during the assembly and dismantling phases of the installations", the Prefecture of Police published an order on May 2, temporarily modifying parking and traffic in certain streets of the 16th arrondissement in Paris.

So be careful if you plan to drive in this area, because several streets are closed to traffic and parking from May 4 to June 15, 2023.

Streets closed to parking :

  • On Gordon Bennett Avenue in its entirety (from May 4 at 4:00 p.m. to June 15, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.)

  • on boulevard d'Auteuil, from avenue de la Porte Molitor to rue Nungesser et Coli (from 8 a.m. on May 19 to 10 p.m. on June 12, 2023)

  • on avenue de la Porte Molitor (from May 19 at 8 a.m. to June 11, 2023 at 10 p.m.)
    • Odd side: along the Jean-Bouin Tennis Stadium (CSJB),
    • On the even-numbered side: the first two spaces located at the beginning of Avenue de la Porte Molitor, with the exception of the "Handicap" spaces

    • on the even-numbered side of boulevard Murat, from rue Molitor to place de la Porte d'Auteuil (from May 22, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. to June 11, 2023 at 10:00 p.m.)

    • on allée des Fortifications, from place de la Porte de Passy to place de la Porte d'Auteuil (from May 27 at 8:00 a.m. to June 3, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.)

    • on the odd side of rue Nungesser et Coli, from avenue de la Porte Molitor to boulevard d'Auteuil (from May 16 at 8 a.m. to June 13, 2023 at 8 a.m.)

  • on the allée de la Reine Marguerite, from the Anciens Combattants crossroads, for a distance of 100 meters (from 8 a.m. on May 16 to 8 a.m. on June 12, 2023)

  • on Place de la Porte d'Auteuil (from May 16 at 8 a.m. to June 12, 2023 at 8 a.m.)

  • on the odd side of Avenue du Général Sarrail, from Place de la Porte Molitor to Rue Meryon (from May 16 at 8 a.m. to June 12, 2023 at 8 a.m.)

Streets closed to traffic :

  • on all of avenue Gordon-Bennett (from May 4 at 4 p.m. to June 15, 2023 at 4 p.m.)

  • on the exit ramp n° 1 of the A13 freeway, the one towards Porte d'Auteuil (from May 27 at 9am to June 11, 2023 at 10pm)

  • rue Nungesser et Coli, in one direction only, from avenue de la Porte Molitor towards boulevard d'Auteuil (from 9 am on May 27 to 10 pm on June 11, 2023)

  • on boulevard d'Auteuil, between rue Nungesser et Coli and place de la Porte Molitor (from May 27 to June 11, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.)

Exemptions are obviously planned for residents and service vehicles. Also, the Prefecture of Police recommends that spectators use public transportation during this period, and that other vehicles avoid the area for the duration of the tournament.
