An unpleasant surprise for line 1 users on Tuesday April 9, 2024. RATP announced an operating incident at Porte Maillot station, west of the capital. The consequences? Subway traffic is currently at a standstill between two stations located on this famous and very busy automatic line of the Paris metro.
In detail, traffic is interrupted this Tuesday morning on line 1, between La Défense and Charles de Gaulle - Étoile stations, in both directions. Initially expecting traffic to resume at 8 and then 10 a.m., RATP is now estimating a resumption time of around 12:00 p.m. Stay tuned for further details.

Throughout this traffic disruption, line 1 users are invited to use alternative routes, such as RER A and C, or metro lines 2 and 6. Passengers are also invited to contact RATP agents if necessary. In addition, the Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens is announcing the provision of replacement buses.
Traffic was already disrupted on line 1 yesterday, Monday April 8, following a technical incident at Saint-Paul station. Traffic was interrupted between Gare de Lyon and Châtelet.
