Part of the A86 freeway cut off this morning following an accident: what are the alternatives?

This Tuesday, January 14, 2025, part of the A86 freeway is cut off following an accident. We take stock of the situation if you need to hit the road.

Traffic in the Hauts-de-Seine département is likely to be a little tricky this morning, especially on theinner A86, according to Actu Paris. Indeed, on Tuesday January 14, 2025, a multi-vehicle accident occurred, resulting in a collision towards Nanterre and a closure of the A86 freeway, at the level of the town of Rueil-Malmaison.

According to traffic news website Sytadin, the event occurred at around 5 a.m.: a heavy goods vehicle, a motorcycle and a 4WD collided near Rueil-Malmaison, bringing traffic to an immediate halt for an undetermined period.

What are the alternatives if you need to get to Paris or around Western Paris?

So if you need to travel on the inner A86 this morning (towards Nanterre and from Rueil-Malmaison), be aware that exit 34 (signposted Versailles/Saint-Germain-en-Laye/Rueil-Malamaison) via the RD913 departmental road is compulsory.
