Cinema tickets, museum admissions, concerts, comedy clubs, video game shows, music festivals, evening events at the Château de Versailles... If you know what's good for you, the Pass Culture is a real goldmine! But what is the Pass Culture?
The scheme is aimed at 17- and 18-year-olds living in mainland France and the French overseas departments and territories. By registering on the official platform, these teenagers receive 50 euros when they turn 17, and 150 euros when they turn 18: an envelope intended for their cultural outings, to open up their perspectives and encourage them to enjoy culture in all its forms.
In fact, the Pass Culture covers a very wide choice of activities: live shows, exhibitions, concerts, games and escape games, visits to monuments, musical and creative activities, cinema... Everyone is free to spend the money as they wish. And young people living in Paris and the Île-de-France region are particularly lucky, since cultural life in the capital never stops!
So, in concrete terms, what can you do and see with this Pass Culture? Of course, the offers change according to the cultural agenda of the moment: from one year to the next, from one month to the next, you won't find the same events. However, some sites are regular partners of the platform for young people.
Pass Culture holders can take advantage of discounts and offers at bookshops and literary events, such as festivals and book clubs. As for museums and heritage, young people can treat themselves to tickets and subscriptions to the Conciergerie and Sainte-Chapelle, the Institut de France, the Musée de Cluny, the Institut du Monde Arabe, the Panthéon, the Musée Rodin, the Dôme des Invalides, the Musée Méliès, the Arc de Triomphe, the Musée de l'Illusion, and many more.
In the live entertainment sector, too, there are some very fine offerings. From Parisian hits such as the Lion King musical to stand-up acts, concerts at the Accor Arena, the Zénith de Paris and festivals such as We Love Green and Solidays, there's something for everyone.
And don't forget to check out the latest films at the Grand Rex, the mk2 cinemas and other local cinemas.
Several brands offer courses in photography, pottery, singing, drawing, music, manga art, video and film directing, dance...
