This April, the Paris City Council is to deliberate on new commemorative plaques and names for streets, squares and other public spaces, in tribute to a number of celebrities. From Tina Turner and Cesária Évora to Daniel Darc, Michel Blanc and Hélène Duc... discover the personalities involved.

Another Paris Council meeting takes place from April 8 to 11, 2025. Several subjects are on the agenda, including the new 2025/2030 biodiversity plan, and the first edition of Mental Health Month.

But this new Paris Council is also an opportunity to deliberate on new commemorative plaques and names for streets, squares and other public spaces dedicated to " outstanding personalities from history, culture and society ", says the City of Paris. Among them? Actor, director and screenwriter Michel Blanc, who died on October 3, 2024; Swiss-American singer, author and actress Tina Turner, who died on May 24, 2023; and singer Daniel Darc, who passed away on February 28, 2013.
