Whether out of a duty to remember, to pay tribute to those who fought, or as a civic duty, many people wish to take part in the November 11 commemorations. Here are the towns in Hauts-de-Seine holding ceremonies on November 11, 2026.

In the Hauts-de-Seine, every November 11, residents gather at their town hall, in front of the war memorial or in cemeteries for a special commemoration. The major towns in the 92 department mark the armistice that ended the First World War with ceremonies or public commemorations open to all.

November 11 has been a public holiday since 1922: it is officially dedicated to commemorating World War I and honoring the memory of those who fought and died in the war. Traditionally, mayors and veterans' associations invite citizens to gather in front of the town's war memorials. In Paris, the President of the Republic lays a wreath at the foot of the statue of Georges Clemenceau, before paying his respects at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier underthe Arc de Triomphe.
