Are you familiar with the "Traveller Review Awards"? For the ninth year in a row, this ranking reveals the most welcoming destinations of the year, based on reviews from travelers on a major online accommodation platform. According to the 2026 list, Italy (214,666), France (170,596), Spain (152,292), Germany (111,685), and the United Kingdom (93,989) are still leading the way, maintaining their spots in the top five countries with the highest number of winners.
So, who are the standout winners of this 14th edition of the Traveller Review Awards in France? Which cities across the country are shining through for their warm hospitality and memorable experiences for travelers? According to this year’s rankings, Arc 1950 in Savoie takes the top spot, followed by Aigues-Mortes in Occitanie and Plouhinec in Brittany. Notably, no city from Île-de-France appears among the top 10 most welcoming destinations of the year. In fact, Île-de-France is also absent from the top five regions recognized for their hospitality, with Corsica and Brittany leading the pack in 2026.
However, the "Traveller Review Awards" have revealed the Top 5 most welcoming towns in Île-de-France, according to the platform's users. And good news for residents of Seine-et-Marne, since four of these five highlighted locations in Île-de-France are in the 77 department, starting with Chessy. Serris ranks second, followed by Montévrain. These three towns are all near Disneyland Paris, a popular spot for tourists and, consequently, for users of this online accommodation platform. It's worth noting that this ranking is based on over 370 million verified reviews from travelers worldwide who used the renowned booking site.
