Things are set to pile up this Saturday, May 30, 2026 for Parisians wandering the capital! Because of the Champions League final in Paris Saint-Germain, the Paris Police Prefecture has ordered closures of both metro stations and Vélib, starting Friday evening. Dozens of sites are affected, in strategic areas around the Champs-Élysées, the Parc des Princes and the Champ-de-Mars.
To safeguard the historic axis of the Champs-Élysées, 23 stations have already been deemed unavailable since 8:00 p.m., with a staged reopening not expected before Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 6:00 a.m. Depending on the evening’s purpose and any potential gathering the following day, two additional sectors will also be affected, a bit later in the weekend.
