We’re used to seeing Seth’s figures creep through the walls of Paris’s 13th arrondissement, with their poetic silhouettes and blank faces. But after PSG’s victory over Arsenal in the 2026 Champions League final, the renowned street artist Julien Malland, aka Seth, has added an unexpected twist to his iconic mural in the Butte-aux-Cailles: the two characters now proudly wear the Paris Saint-Germain jersey.
A simple, discreet gesture that hits home. No fanfare, no flashiness: PSG won the final against Arsenal (1-1, 4-3 on penalties) in Budapest, and Seth chose to mark the victory in his own way, on the walls of the district he now calls home. A delicately crafted moment that situates him in the intertwined history of Paris sport and popular culture.
Julien Malland, better known by his pseudonym Seth Globepainter, was born in Paris in 1972. A graduate of the École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs, he began his career in the creative industry (advertising, comics, animation) before graffiti gradually claimed his full attention. Since then, his faceless children have traveled the world, from Jersey City to Amman, via Shanghai and Jakarta.
In the 13th arrondissement, Seth is a key figure. His works dot the Vincent-Auriol boulevard, the true backbone of Parisian street art with around fifty façades painted, as well as the Butte-aux-Cailles and the Louise-Bourgeois School. He recently set up his studio in the district, becoming a fully-fledged artist of the XIIIe. A few weeks ago, an article even ran about him on Sortiraparis after he unveiled a new XXL mural on Rue Émile-Deslandres, replacing an older piece erased.
What moves in Seth's work is precisely the self-assured universality he embraces. His murals capture mischief, joy, and the innocence of childhood, and his faceless figures tend to be optimistic, even in the face of adversity.
