Did you know? The lion dance, a central feature of Chinese New Year celebrations, embodies strong symbolic values. Associated with good luck, prosperity and protection from evil spirits, it features performers dressed in elaborately ornate costumes, fluidly imitating the lion's majestic movements. Rhythmed by traditional percussion - drums, gongs and cymbals - this spectacular dance is a vibrant experience that links tradition and modernity.

These festive get-togethers are an opportunity to discover the richness of Asian culture in a warm atmosphere, in the heart of the neighborhoods and places that are emblematic of the Asian community in Île-de-France. A great opportunity to share in the spirit of the Lunar New Year, and start the new year under the best possible auspices.

And don't forget that the big Chinese New Year parade takes place in the 13th arrondissement on February 9. There's also a great program organized by the 13th arrondissement town hall.
