La Pâtisserie de Saison is one of the oldest Chinese pastry shops in the 13th arrondissement, located on the famous Avenue d'Ivry. Here, you can indulge in original banh mi, baos, filled puff pastries and soft rolls that oscillate between tradition and new flavors.

La Pâtisserie de Saison is a Chinese patisserie located in the 13th arrondissement. A true family institution, it was founded in 1983. It was one of the first Chinese patisseries to set up shop, back when this district was not yet the capital's favorite Chinatown.

Tanoy took over this family business 8 years ago and is trying to breathe new life into it with the creation of a banh bao bar, the introduction of banh mi with numerous original skewers and the creation of pastries with innovative flavors. It's not easy with a chef who has been in the business for 30 years, perpetuating tradition and jealously guarding his recipes, but when you want it, you can get it.

In the window, all the skewers are presented and garnished as you go, so you can make your choice. From lemongrass beef to cheese skewers, vegetarian doughnut skewers and tofu skewers, there's something for every taste.

On the savoury side, there's banh baos, meat rolls and ham or sausage brioches.

On the pastry side, there are the famous cream cakes filled with mango, or durian for connoisseurs. You'll also find coconut pearls and the famous Banh bo nuong, a delicious Vietnamese coconut cake with tapioca flour and pandan. You'll love the soft cream-filled rolls. The durian and matcha-red bean versions are shown here, but you're spoilt for choice.
