For the 2026 Lunar New Year, the Saint-Ouen Municipal Council is highlighting the rich diversity of Asian culture on Saturday, February 21. The event, designed to be family-friendly, will feature Japanese calligraphy workshops for children, tai chi demonstrations, various activities for young visitors, and a grand banquet celebrating Korean and Taiwanese flavors.
This time, most activities are paid, with workshops costing 5 euros and the meal priced at 45 euros. Don't forget to reserve your spot, as spaces may be limited!
The Atome & Carbone organization offers a hands-on exploration of Japanese calligraphy in Saint-Ouen. Guided by their experienced team, children learn to wield brushes to create lucky characters using traditional black ink.
A fun workshop where children can uncover the secrets of the lunar calendar and craft their own solar system using recycled vinyl records to create a model.
Usma Tai Chi and Christelle Picat are sharing their expertise to offer an introduction to this ancient Chinese martial art right in the heart of the market. Spend an hour reconnecting mind and body — open to everyone aged 16 and over. The session is free, but advance registration by email is required: gwenael.le.morzellec@gmail.com.
The Communal St-Ouen banquet is back! After chefs Lagarde, Élis Bond, and Souad’s signature cuisine, it’s now Anju and Coin Op Table’s turn to celebrate the Lunar New Year with a special dinner. On the menu: an appetizer, a main course, desserts, and above all, a culinary journey curated just for the occasion. Coin Op Table puts a bold, fusion twist on Taiwanese cuisine, blending creativity with strong character. Meanwhile, Anju Korean Food offers authentic, generous Korean dishes that honor tradition while adding modern flair.
