What to do for Nuit des Musées 2025 in Essonne? For this Saturday, May 17, 2025, we're taking you on a tour of the Maison de Banlieue et de l'Architecture's program. Mark your calendars!

Nuit des Musées is back this Saturday, May 17, 2025 in Paris and the Île-de-France region. This Europe-wide cultural event invites us to rediscover our heritage in a whole new way, with free night-time visits to participating museums, monuments, châteaux and other cultural sites. These programs are generally enriched by workshops and unusual events.

It's also an opportunity to explore the region's heritage and (re)discover some of the nuggets close to home. InEssonne, there's a great program waiting for you. This time we're taking you to Athis-Mons, to reveal what's in store at the Maison de Banlieue et de l'Architecture for this Nuit des Musées 2025.

La Maison de Banlieue et de l'Architecture isa "center for the interpretation of the urban environment, suburban heritage and architecture" opened in 1999, with the aim of changing the way people look at the Essonne suburbs, and more specifically at towns of "modest art and simple history"! Although the Maison de Banlieue is not a museum in the strict sense of the word, it is a place rich in history that's well worth a visit to learn more aboutEssonne's architectural heritage.
