Nuit des Musées 2024 at the Maison-Musée Raymond Devos (78): a fun investigation for everyone

French-Belgian humorist Raymond Devos, much appreciated for his puns and mimes, has his own museum in Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuses (78). You can visit it free of charge this May 18, 2024, on the occasion of Nuit des Musées!

His good-natured humor, his sketches in which the absurd and the bon mot are constantly mixed, his zany mimes and his always cheerful, benevolent persona have left their mark on generations. Raymond Devos is still honored in Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuses, in his former home, now transformed into a museum.

Here you can admire the artist's personal effects, including the 17 musical instruments he played (yes, 17!), his two Molières, his notebooks and notes, the props he used in his shows, his family photos, his favorite books, the fetish objects he took with him on tour... His dressing room and work office have even been reconstructed, to give us a better understanding of this brilliant humorist, who always remained a big kid. Between emotion and laughter, this museum offers us an unusual and timeless visit to meet Raymond Devos.

During the 20th annual Nuit des Musées, the house-museum opens its doors to visitors by night. This Saturday, May 18, 2024, is an opportunity to enjoy this little piece of heritage, and perhaps to introduce younger visitors to the humorist!
