The House of Auguste Comte is a museum apartment where the renowned French philosopher Auguste Comte (1798-1857) once lived. Located at 10 rue Monsieur le Prince in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, it was his final home, occupied from 1841 until his death in 1857. Afterward, his followers took care to preserve the residence that saw the birth of his philosophical ideas, honoring his last wishes. Today, the apartment has been transformed into a museum and is owned by an international association dedicated to Auguste Comte. Visitors are welcome to explore the space, which remains exactly as it was during his lifetime, with original furniture and personal belongings intact. A carefully curated thematic tour, aided by subtle museographic installations designed to maintain the authenticity of the setting, offers visitors insights into Comte's philosophy.
