• Sound evening event: "Work Memories"
  Saturday, May 23, 2026 - 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
  

  On the occasion of European Museum Night, the Ecomuseum of the Cartoucherie invites you to an unprecedented evening of sound, highlighting the efforts to preserve and share memories of the French Gunpowder Factory.

  Since 2024, the Roissy Pays de France community has continued collecting stories, objects, and documents to deepen the understanding of the factory’s history and to enrich its collections.

  For one night only, a soundscape composed of machine noises intertwined with excerpts from former workers’ testimonies will evoke life at the French Gunpowder Factory. Whether you sit quietly or stroll among the machinery, let yourself be carried into the factory’s world through voice recordings and a unique sound environment!

  A small exhibition will showcase recent acquisitions, including donations that have enhanced the collections. A mediator will be on hand to answer your questions and shed light on the objects and documents on display.

  The sound installation will be played at regular intervals throughout the evening.
