The annual Fête de la Musique takes place on June 21. And just like every year, the town of Suresnes is taking part in this major national event, launched in 1982 and so popular with young and old alike, music lovers and non-music lovers alike.
And to kick off this great musical day (and evening!), the Hauts-de-Seine municipality is preparing the musical summer reopening of the Square Bazin, in the presence of Mayor Guillaume Boudy. The event starts at 7pm, on the corner of avenue du général de Gaulle, rue Merlin de Thionville and rue Desbassayns de Richemont.
Then it's off to the Fécheray terrace for DJ sets by the Nova Sima collective, while taking in the breathtaking view of the capital from the terrace. World and electronic ambience, with Afro house, deep house and groovy sets from 5pm to 10pm.
At the Musée d'Histoire Urbaine et sociale de Suresnes, classical music fans can enjoy a concert by students and teachers from the Conservatoire de Musique, starting at 4 p.m., while local residents and curious onlookers of all kinds are also invited to free concerts in local restaurants!
At theHôtel Campanile Paris Ouest, a singer and DJ will be on hand from 6:30pm to 11:30pm; at the restaurant L'Optimiste, a pop-rock atmosphere with a concert on the terrace from 7pm to 10:30pm; and at the restaurant O'Jardin secret, a dance party with band and DJ is planned from 6pm to 2am.
