Music Day festivities return to the Petit Château de Sceaux this year! On Sunday, June 21, 2026, come enjoy a musical performance that transports you to the spirit of the 17th century!

The town of Sceaux, in the Hauts-de-Seine region of France, is well known for its estate and park, designed by André Le Nôtre. This vast green setting is home to a château-museum, as well as a small château that is of particular interest to us this June.

Indeed, the Petit Château de Sceaux hosts the festivities of the Fête de la musique, on Sunday, June 21, 2026. During this first summer evening, residents of the town and curious visitors can drop by to enjoy a free musical performance, open to both young and old.

The Fête de la musique is a popular celebration that has been held in France since 1982. Under the impetus of Jack Lang, Maurice Fleuret and Christian Dupavillon, the event gradually gained momentum. Musicians take advantage of the occasion to make themselves known to the general public, and music lovers enjoy an evening of national festivities to have fun and share their passion together.

In 2026, the Fête de la Musique will unfold on Sunday, June 21. Across towns in France, including Sceaux, plenty of concerts await. But you don’t need to go far to enjoy the celebrations: the petit château has enough to get you moving for a good part of the evening!
