The Fête de la Musique is an opportunity to experience some exceptional musical moments! On Wednesday, June 21, 2023, the 41st edition of the event takes place in the capital. To mark the occasion, a wind quintet from the Musique des gardiens de la paix will perform in an original setting.

The Fête de la Musique is an annual celebration established in France in 1982 by the then Minister of Culture, Jack Lang. It takes place every year on June 21, the day of the summer solstice, and marks the start of the summer season! The idea of the Fête de la Musique was born of the desire to promote music in all its forms, and to make it accessible to all. The aim is to enable professional - and amateur - musicians to perform free of charge in the streets, parks and public squares.

The Musique des gardiens de la paix, a unique musical group created by the Préfecture de Police, is offering a concert in the garden bordering the Mémorial des martyrs de la Déportation. A wind quintet will provide a unique musical experience on the Île de la Cité.

For the Fête de la Musique, let yourself be tempted by this unique performance in an exceptional setting!
