World music and a culinary festival: the Fête de la Musique 2026 in Champigny-sur-Marne

Want to celebrate music? Perfect timing—the fête de la musique is back across France on June 21, as it does every year. For a full day, French people are invited to dust off their instruments and showcase their singing and musicianship by taking over the streets, squares, gardens and parks—or even museums, churches and concert halls.

The Fête de la Musique, launched for the first time in 1982, celebrates all kinds of music, from rock and rap to jazz, zouk, blues, reggae, electro and French variety.

In Paris, concerts are plentiful, with unmissable events anticipated each year, but also more surprising performances that could well leave a mark on this festive evening.

Elsewhere in the Île-de-France region, there's plenty of good music to be enjoyed, with some well-known and much-loved artists happy to give a free concert for the occasion.

In the Val-de-Marne region, numerous concerts await residents on Sunday, June 21, 2026. The commune of Champigny-sur-Marne, for its part, has chosen to celebrate this Fête de la Musique on Saturday, June 20, 2026. The gathering will take place in the town center, on the place du marché, for an evening that's warm, welcoming, and full of dancing!

  Market Square
  On the occasion of World Music Day, the city presents the second edition of the Cuisines & World Music festival on Saturday, June 20, at Market Square. A festive event that highlights Champigny’s cultural richness through flavors and sounds from around the globe!

  • 5 p.m.: festival opening
  • 5 p.m.–7:30 p.m.: association demonstrations (dance, music, singing, etc.)
  • 7:30 p.m.: Mayor’s speech
  • 8 p.m.–10 p.m.: Amateur groups:
    • ANOTSOS: composers. Style: pop, folk, blues, jazzy, French songs
    • LES CRINGE: pop/rock covers
  • 10 p.m.–1 a.m.: Live DJ set with a singer
