From traditional Irish music to the Iron Pot Fountain, for Music Day 2026

At first glance, this little fountain at the corner of Rue Mouffetard and Rue du Pot-de-Fer doesn’t look like much. And yet it is a historic monument, four centuries old! A relic of the Paris that existed before Baron Haussmann, a chapter in the history of the capital.

The Pot-de-Fer Fountain, a landmark dating back to 1624, has witnessed its share of events. This Sunday, June 21, 2026, the fountain will serve as the backdrop for a special concert, held for the Fête de la Musique à Paris.
